Hole Montes hires Ellen Summers as senior planner

NAPLES, Fla. (May 10, 2021) – Hole Montes has announced that Ellen Summers has joined the firm as a senior planner.

Summers worked in the government sector for nearly a decade, most recently serving as principal redevelopment specialist for the Bayshore Gateway Triangle Community Redevelopment Agency. In this role, Summers managed the CRA grants program while serving as a liaison with private developers and growth management staff, drafting land development code amendments, facilitating plan reviews and coordinating presentations.

Summers previously held a variety of roles with Collier County’s Growth Management Department, including senior planner with zoning services, planner with development review, planner with the business center, and planning technician operations and regulatory management.

Hole Montes offers a full range of planning services that include site analysis, sector plans, land use approvals, master planning, site design, and comprehensive planning and zoning.

“Ellen has a unique perspective on the planning process because she has experience working within the county’s Growth Management Department,” said Bob Mulhere, president of Hole Montes. “She knows land development codes and requirements because she helped write some of them, and her extensive knowledge of the inner-workings of county government will be invaluable to our team.”

Summers earned a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental studies from Florida State University and a Master of Public Administration from Florida Gulf Coast University.
