Hole Montes Establishes Civil Engineering Scholarship at FGCU
The Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) Foundation announced that on September 30, 2015, Hole Montes, Inc. established a scholarship fund at Florida Gulf Coast University to assist and encourage students pursuing a Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering degree. Recipients of the Hole Montes Scholarship will be students from Southwest Florida (Collier, Lee or Hendry counties) who are enrolled in the U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering. The scholarship is funded for the next five years.
Hole Montes has hired four recent graduates of FGCU. Tom Taylor, CEO and President of Hole Montes, explains, “The University continues to try to improve the quality of high school graduates entering the engineering program. Our Board of Directors felt the best way to support this effort is to provide scholarships. We have always believed that the institutions within our area that are benefitting from the FGCU engineering program should support it. If not us, who will?”
Founded in 1966, Hole Montes, Inc. is a firm specializing in engineering, planning, and surveying with offices located in Naples and Fort Myers.
