Big Corkscrew Island Fire & Rescue District

Collier County, Florida

Fire Station 14 Desoto Boulevard at 22nd Avenue N.E.: Hole Montes has recently provided professional engineering services to the Big Corkscrew Island Fire and Rescue District for a new 18,000 square foot building to house administration offices, truck bays, sleeping quarters for all staff, and EMS personnel and equipment. All of these uses are under one roof for convenience and quick response. Hole Montes rezoned this property as “conditional use”, and handled environmental permits with South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Fire Station 12 Immokalee Road at Oil Well Road: In 2005, Hole Montes provided complete civil engineering and surveying services for this new district facility. The building consisted of 7,300 square feet of combined space for the fire district and Collier County EMS personnel and equipment. Hole Montes designed all site infrastructure and obtained site construction approvals.

Fire Station 10 Immokalee Road at Randall Boulevard: This project involved expansion of the fire district’s existing main station and district headquarters in 2003. These additions included a 2,800 square foot detached administration building as well as additional parking to cover the increase in employees and visitor activity.
